About Us

What We Believe In

BRIDGE Georgia

BRIDGE Georgia is a coalition that advocates for closing the health insurance coverage gap. We bring together healthcare and business leaders, veterans, faith groups, and families from around the state who want to improve the lives of our fellow Georgians.

Our efforts are grounded in data that clearly shows the economic and social benefits of increasing access to affordable, quality healthcare. We believe in adopting an innovative model that would be unique to our state. This would provide healthcare coverage to nearly 300,000 Georgians. Learn more about the value of closing the gap here.

Each coalition member offers a different vantage point into the problems that the healthcare coverage gap is causing Georgia. Led by Georgia First, we started having conversations about what we could do to find a solution–and decided to come together to form a coalition that is committed to helping our state.

Our Principles

Fiscal Responsibility

We can keep $6 billion of our federal tax dollars right here in Georgia, receive federal funding for 90% of the cost of closing the gap, and generate over 51,000 new jobs.

Accessibility

Closing the gap will help 480,000 hardworking Georgians who should have better, including farmers, veterans, and part-time, hourly, and gig workers and their families.

Responsiveness

It’s time to listen to the 76% of Georgians who support closing the coverage gap, including 60% of Republicans.

Innovation

A unique free-market-based approach will allow Georgians to decide what works best for Georgia’s health system and position our state as a national leader in healthcare.

TESTIMONIAL

What Leaders Are Saying

“It’s vital that everyone has access to quality healthcare. In particular, access to preventative care prior to pregnancy could lead to better outcomes for both mother and baby, helping to address our state’s maternal mortality crisis. Atrium Health is proud to partner in the BRIDGE Coalition as we seek to bridge coverage gaps.”
